Dear Colleagues,
The Journal of Indian Speech Language and Hearing Association (JISHA) publishes an article of interest to professionals involved in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of speech, language, and hearing disorders. JISHA is of primary interest to audiologists, speech-language pathologists, otolaryngologists, neuro-otologists, pediatricians, linguists, special educators, and to those involved in the design and manufacture of aids and appliances for individuals with hearing and communication disorders. The goals of the journal are to foster knowledge about issues related to speech, language, and hearing; to promote research and evidence-based practice in the field of speech and hearing; to provide information on and to promote prevention and early identification of hearing and communication disorders; and to facilitate “best practices” in the (re) habilitation of persons with hearing and communication disorders.
I invite you to read the latest publication of JISHA. It includes a case report on hearing outcome following canaloplasty in fibrous dysplasia, while other papers discuss a novel approach to provide localization training in horizontal plane in normal hearing listeners, various professionals' exposure to occupational noise, and questionnaire-based adaptation of the Amsterdam Inventory for Auditory Disability and Handicap in Turkish language. I am sure there is something that will attract your interest to read and recommend other fellow professionals working in the field of speech, language and hearing disorders. Last but not the least, I would like to personally extend my sincere thanks to all the reviewers and my editorial team, who helped me to come out with this volume.
