It’s all too easy to purchase a super cheap multifunctional inkjet printer without checking the price of the printer ink cartridges first. This is a risky because budget inkjets, especially multifunctional ones are the model of choice for printer manufacturers to price as cheaply as possible in order to get them into as many people’s home’s as possible in an effect to make their profit back on sales of ink cartridges. The Epson Stylus SX115 falls into this category but unlike its competitors as not only does it offer high-quality printing, scanning and copying, in one compact space saving product but it uses economical individual Epson ink cartridges which means once one colour has run out you only need to replace that one individual colour cartridge. Not only does this save money I the long run but a full set of Epson SX115 ink cartridges are also affordable at around £30. Reasonable running costs are not the only thing the SX115 has going for it, the print quality is excellent on any type of document you can throw at it, the scanner is perfectly adequate for most people needs and the copier works at a touch of a button and doesn’t even need to be connected to a PC. The only weakness the SX115 has is speed, inkjets are not known for their quick printing speeds but the SX115 is slow even for an inkjet with an average print speed in standard quality setting of 4ppm (pages per minute). Despite this the Stylus SX115 is still a good buy and a solid performer.
